Buening
Hi! My name is Erin Buening and this will be my 14th year teaching. Previously, I taught one year of first grade at Rushville Elementary, two years of Reading Recovery at GES, and this will be my 11th year in first grade here.

Teaching has always been my dream. It became a reality after graduating from Purdue University in 2000. Since then, I have also completed my Master's Degree of Education from Olivet University.

My husband of twelve years, Ben Buening, and I are both Greensburg natives. We were very happy to return back to our roots, find wonderful jobs, and buy a home here. We have an eight-year-old son named Max, our daughter, Sophie, will be seven in November, and Henry is four! In my spare time I enjoy playing with Max, Sophie and Henry, spending time with family and friends, reading, running, and shopping.

First grade is such an exciting year. I have had the wonderful opportunity of teaching Reading Recovery which has helped me better understand how to focus on children's strengths in order to help them succeed. I look forward to the many leaps and bounds in reading, writing, and math over the following year!

Please feel free to contact me if any questions or concerns arise over the following school year. Together we can make a difference in your child's life!
